Contact Lenses at Kennedy & Perkins

Many new and exciting developments over the past few years have opened a wonderful world of vision to many patients. These new advances offer the very latest contact lens technology to help provide patients with excellent vision, extreme comfort and safety with a more "natural" appearance. We pledge to you, the very latest in professional care, modern instrumentation and offices along with the finest in comprehensive continuing contact lens care. In keeping with our commitment to you, each store maintains a large inventory of all types of contact lenses so that in most cases we can immediately fit new lenses or replace lost or damaged contact lenses.

Contact Lens
Fitting

The contact lens fitting commences once a comprehensive eye health & vision exam has been performed within the last 6-9 months.

The fitting is a "customized series of ocular measurements, lens designs and eye health evaluations" to achieve optimum vision, comfort and eye health. Fittings range from routine-to-sophisticated, depending on your prescription and the amount of time necessary to achieve a "successful fit."

All of our Doctors of Optometry are licensed and board certified contact lens specialists with an unconditional commitment to excellence.

Contact Lens
Evaluations

These are usually 15-minute appointments designed to clinically evaluate the success of your newly fitted or re-fitted contact lenses. These visits are all included in your initial fit or refit for the first 3 months. If your fitting goes beyond 3 months (for whatever reason), additional fees will be charged.

Also included in every new fit or refit is a 6 month contact lens progress evaluation at no charge.

*Please wear your lenses for at least 2 hours prior to your appointment.

Contact Lens Office Visits
These are usually 30 minute contact lens related appointments, designed to clinically evaluate the success of your present contact lenses. This is not a comprehensive eye exam nor is it a substitute for one.
Contact Lens Refund Policy
In the event that contact lens wear is discontinued for any reason within 2 months of the dispensing date and the lenses are returned in excellent condition, a full refund for the contact lenses only will be offered.
Payment and Insurance

Because of the high cost of billing, we request that services be paid for at the time of your office visit. We accept as payment: cash, check, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express). Special financial arrangements should be discussed before your appointment date. After your office visit, an itemized statement for the services and materials rendered will be given to you. Attach this statement to your completed private insurance form so that you can be reimbursed for all or part of the fee paid. Deductibles are the responsibility of the patient.

Calling the Office
In case of emergency, please notify us immediately so that evaluation and treatment can begin more swiftly. Symptoms that need immediate attention and should not be ignored include: EXTREME PAIN, UNUSUAL LIGHT SENSITIVITY, FOREIGN BODY SENSATION, REDNESS, EXTREME ITCHINESS and/or TEARING OF THE EYES.
